I love working with my patients, and seeing the transformation in their self-esteem and confidence as they experience the change in their appearance. It’s amazing how, by straightening teeth, I’m able to create a more beautiful face and attractive smile, no matter what the person’s age is!
My profession means everything to me. I am the first Bahamian orthodontist, and am proud to be a trailblazer and pioneer in the field. I aspire to leave a legacy of lasting, radiant smiles that show I was the best orthodontist I could be. In all the years I’ve been practicing, I’ve met and become friends with so many wonderful people. It’s an amazing feeling to know that each of my patients is carrying the smile we achieved into the world!
I attended Howard University in Washington, DC, where I received a Bachelor of Science in microbiology. I continued at Howard and graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. After finishing my doctorate, I completed a general practice residency at Harlem Hospital, through Columbia University, and returned to Howard University for my orthodontic residency.
As an orthodontist, it’s important for me to stay on the leading edge of developments in the specialty. Changes in techniques, methodologies, and technology all have an impact on the care I provide to patients. Through continuing education, I’ve strengthened and expanded my skills, knowledge, and experience. This allows me to craft the best treatment approach for each patient and deliver optimal results for their smile!
I’m proud to be a Certified Damon™ Smile provider, and have been trained in the philosophy and care approach almost since its inception.
I live in the Lake Cunningham area with my wife Missy. We have three children. My only son, Logan, is planning on becoming an orthodontist! Our family also includes Israel, a dog we adopted from a local shelter.
I feel it’s my responsibility to help mentor the next generation of professionals and leaders. I participate in the High School Male Mentorship program. I’m also active in the Alpha Phi Alpha and Sigma Phi fraternities.
